Learn about the Gilman and Gilman-McCain scholarships designed to increase diversity in intern and study abroad. 

The Gilman Scholarship Program provides up to $5,000 (or $8,000 including the Critical Need Language Award) for undergraduate students who are U.S. citizens and Federal Pell Grant recipients to participate in in-person or virtual international programs.

The Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides $5,000 scholarships for child dependents of active duty military personnel who receive any type of Title IV Federal Financial Aid to study or intern abroad.

Getting a Passport

In order to travel to another country, you need a passport. We'll discuss what a passport is and the steps and documents needed in order to apply for a U.S. passport.

One of the most common misconceptions of study abroad is that it is too expensive. In fact, study abroad can cost the same as a semester at UC or even less! Historically, 98% of UC students have received some amount of scholarship toward their experience.
From financial aid to scholarships to strategies for finding affordable programs, we will discuss how you can make study abroad affordable for you!
